“Meetings Matter”! Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID) is the largest and most important day that recognizes the value of the meetings and events worldwide. An industry celebration held across the globe by leaders and professionals, the significance of this day is to acknowledge the impact of meetings on the global economy.

A series of events will be gathered both virtually and in-person. GMID2023 validates that events do matter, event professionals commemorate the real power of our industry and celebrate the successful return to face-to-face events.

The very first GMID took place on April 14, 2016 by The Meetings Mean Business Coalition (MMBC). MMBC was created in 2009 by the U.S. Travel Association with the purpose to showcase the value of business events. This year GMID is powered by the U.S Travel Association.

Great things happen when people come together! We at M&SE encourage safe events to reactivate and promote our industry on the road to recovery.
